On October 10, 2025, the Department of AI & ML organized an engaging guest lecture titled “Smarter Supply Chains – Predicting Demand and Optimizing Logistics with Machine Learning.” The session was delivered by Mr. John Aroza, a seasoned Technical Lead with eight years of experience in software engineering and a strong background in Drupal development. Tailored for 5th-semester students, the session ran from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and offered a deep dive into the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in modern supply chain management.

Real-world applications were showcased through case studies from the e-commerce and retail sectors, where AI is used to predict customer demand, automate inventory management, and improve transparency through IoT-enabled tracking systems. Mr. Aroza also discussed future innovations in the field, emphasizing sustainability-focused logistics, deep learning for dynamic decision-making, and AI-powered solutions for real-time order tracking and supplier risk analysis.

The session concluded with a token of appreciation presented to Mr. Aroza by the faculty coordinators, marking the end of a highly informative and inspiring event that successfully bridged theoretical concepts with practical applications in supply chain optimization.
