MOU
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was established between IBM and New Horizon College of Engineering

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was established between IBM and New Horizon College of Engineering’s Center of Excellence for Technology (NHECT) to foster academic collaboration and skills development. Under this partnership, IBM committed to assisting with curriculum enhancement and technical skill-building by offering access to selected software, courseware, and resources from the IBM Academic Initiative. Faculty and students were provided with opportunities to engage with the IBM Q Experience, allowing them to explore quantum computing through educational content and real quantum devices.
Additionally, the deployment of the IBM Skills Academy was supported, offering online learning materials, cloud-based lab access, curated content, new industry-aligned resources, digital certificates, and involvement in IBM’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
As part of the collaboration, IBM agreed to share information about its University Award Programs and expressed its willingness to jointly apply for such programs with NHECT, subject to eligibility and selection criteria. The institution, in turn, agreed to update IBM on ongoing research and curriculum developments in strategic areas such as AI, Cloud, and Quantum Computing. Qualified IBM professionals were to be invited to serve on Department Advisory Committees or participate in other feedback-driven academic roles. Subject to availability, NHECT is committed to providing on-campus space for IBM-related displays and posters, further strengthening industry-academia interaction.
