The word “Vas-CodeA-Game” derived from Vasco da Gama, who was a sailor and explorer during the Age of Exploration. The motive of this event is to develop various AI&ML related technical skills in students by helping them explore current trends in the technical and professional fields. First round of the event was an online quiz, called Quizpicable-Me, where all the questions were in pictorial format. Participants had to join ‘quizzizz’ with a code and attempt the quiz, for which a zoom meeting was arranged and the rules were explained to them. Second round of the event was an offline debate, titled ‘Battle-btw-Brains’. All the participants were divided into 4 groups based on the number on the chit they picked and each group was given a unique mind-bending topic/problem prevalent in modern society. Third round was named ‘Peel-the-Code’, a round of debugging. Participants were allowed to choose a programming language that they were comfortable in and were given 15 lines of bug-ridden code in their respective languages. Fourth round called the ‘Code Crushers’, in which the finalists were given a pattern to print using a programming language of their choice. 150 Students from various disciplines had participated in an event.
