GLOBAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXTENSION PROGRAMMES

 The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning successfully organised a Value-Added Programme titled “Explainable AI” from 16th to 23rd February 2026, focusing on transparency and interpretability in AI systems. The programme aimed to build awareness of trustworthy and responsible AI practices essential for modern applications. The sessions were delivered by Mr Raghu Prasad K.S, CEO, Kaushalya Technical Training and Consultancy Services, who shared valuable industry insights and practical perspectives.

Key topics included the fundamentals of Explainable AI, limitations of black-box models, interpretability techniques such as LIME and SHAP, ethical considerations, and bias detection. The programme emphasised hands-on learning using tools such as Python, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch through case studies and project-based activities.

With active participation from students and faculty across institutions, the programme was highly successful and received positive feedback for its practical, industry-oriented approach.
