Inauguration of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, in association with the IEEE NHCE Student Branch, successfully inaugurated the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) on 11th March 2026. The inauguration marked a significant milestone in fostering technical excellence and professional engagement in the field of computational intelligence within the department.
The event was honoured by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Prasad Chitta, AI Leader and Strategist at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). In his address, he shared valuable insights into the expanding role of artificial intelligence and computational intelligence in industry and research. His talk motivated students to explore emerging technologies, emphasise continuous learning, and pursue innovation.
The inauguration also outlined the vision and objectives of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, encouraging students to actively participate in technical events, research activities, and collaborative learning initiatives related to artificial intelligence and computational intelligence.
The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, laying a strong foundation for future IEEE CIS activities within the department.
