Workshop on Future Directions and Research Problems in Cybernetics
he IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC) Society, in association with the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, New Horizon College of Engineering, successfully organized a workshop titled “Future Directions and Research Problems in Cybernetics” on 10th December 2025, from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM, at the Falconry Seminar Hall.
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Akshatha P S, Associate Professor, Department of AIML, New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru. The session focused on exploring emerging trends, future research directions, and open research problems in the field of cybernetics, with emphasis on intelligent systems, adaptive control, human-centric computing, and AI-driven cyber-physical systems.
The talk provided participants with insights into evolving research paradigms and interdisciplinary challenges, encouraging students and faculty members to identify novel research problems and contribute to advancements in cybernetics and related domains. The session also highlighted the importance of integrating artificial intelligence, machine learning, and systems thinking in addressing complex real-world problems.
