CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

On 23 October 2026, 37 fifth-semester students from the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning visited Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. They toured laboratories in the company’s Industrial Automation R&D division and learned how controllers, sensors, I/O modules, motor drives, HMIs and communication networks work together in automation systems. Demonstrations covered the roles of PLCs, VFDs, SCADA and DCS, along with the importance of testing and validation in product quality. After lunch, students had an open discussion with Mr. Veerendra Vasamsetty, Director – R&D, about the skills the automation industry expects from AI professionals and possible internship opportunities. The visit helped connect classroom learning with real industrial practice and showed students the career possibilities where AI and automation meet.
